A Message from the Principal
Dear Garnet Country Families,
It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Haddon Heights Junior Senior High School. I arrive at Haddon Heights Junior Senior High School as a seasoned school leader, having spent time as a classroom, district, and building leader. In addition to my role as an educator, I am a husband and father. My wife Danielle and I are approaching our 12th wedding anniversary this fall. My daughter Kennedy Jane just finished second grade at Glenview Elementary and my son Michael just finished his first year of preschool.
Next school year will mark my 13th year in education. Since graduating from Neumann College, I have served most of my professional career in the William Penn School District in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Although I have always felt at home in the classroom, it is my position as a school principal where I have been most fulfilled in my life’s work. I firmly believe that every person can excel with the right support and I welcome the responsibility of providing that support.
I also believe very little is accomplished within education without the support of a cohesive school, family, and community team. Together, we will partner as educators, families, community members, and external organizations to foster shared ownership of our school to create opportunities for student success. We will strengthen internal and external communication to increase collective engagement, plan strategically to ensure a successful transition into Junior/Senior High and post-secondary opportunities and work tirelessly to strengthen unity across the entirety of Garnet Country.
My entry to the principalship will have three main areas of focus, Instruction, Culture, and Efficiency. I will continually monitor my progress in these three areas by utilizing my entry plan, Go Garnets. I will routinely communicate my progress in these three areas, among other items, with all school community stakeholders and provide opportunities for feedback from community members. Below you will find a link to submit your interest to join our Family Advisory Council at 3HS. The council will meet monthly and discuss school and community-related items, including the progress of my entry plan.
As you will come to find, I pride myself on being present and approachable. In the coming days, weeks, months, and years I will be at a variety of community events across the four boroughs and would love for you to stop by to say hello. Also, each Wednesday, you will receive a weekly update from the Junior and Senior High to ensure you are informed as we approach the start of the school year.
Again, thank you for your support and commitment to Haddon Heights Junior Senior High School.
Go Garnets,
Mr. Warren M. Danenza
Proud Principal
