Preparing Today's Students for Tomorrow's Careers

Looking towards our Future

This is an exciting time to be involved in Career and Technical Education! We are preparing today's students for tomorrow's careers. Check out the presentation about the future of CCC by clicking here Career Academies of Chesapeake.

New Programs

Chesapeake Career Center is excited to announce that three new programs will be added for the 2023-2024 school year: Building Trades, Medical Lab Technician, and Precision Machining, bringing our total program offerings to nineteen! Building Trades and Medical Lab Tech will be taught on the CCC campus and Precision Machining will be a dual enrolled course taught on the TCC Campus. These additional courses will allow up to 90 more students to obtain industry credentials and the training needed to enter the workforce upon completion of the program. To find out more about all of our programs, click here.

Community Partner

Grassfield Baptist Church

Thank you to our community partner, Grassfield Baptist Church, for their investment in our school, especially our faculty and staff. On behalf of the membership, each month Pastor Brown and Shelley Steinfurth provide a treat or "pick me up" to remind our instructors that they are thought of. Their kindness and thoughtfulness is truly appreciated by our faculty. To find out more about Grassfield Baptist Church, click here.

Become a Community Partner

If you or someone you know would be interested in becoming one of our Community Partners, please let us know. Levels of participation could entail providing guest speakers, mentoring, or making much-needed financial and equipment donations. An explanation of our partnership levels is provided here.

Be Smart - Be Safe

It takes the collective effort of all of us to ensure that we all remain safe. One of the most effective ways to do that is to report anything that could affect the safety of our students and staff. Many threats are dealt with before they can come to fruition because of individuals willing to report directly to a trusted adult. That is strongly encouraged. We also encourage families to have discussions with their children about the seriousness of and consequences for these actions.

There are other ways that these safety concerns can be reported. CPS offers QuickTip, a way to anonymously report any safety concerns. The icon can be found on our webpages. The CrimeLine icon is also available on our webpages and that platform can be used to report concerns directly to the police department. You will also see the K-12 “Let’s Talk” icon on the CPS homepage and on many other CPS webpages. Clicking that will take you to another platform for registering concerns and asking questions. Non-pressing messages can be left here and they will be addressed by appropriate administrators. More information can be found on the CPS website. Of course, in any emergency situation, please call 911.
