The problem with earthquakes in Central America is the destruction of infrastructure and loss of shelter.

1. Loss of shelter.

Destruction of infrastructure
In 2010 Haiti had a massive earthquake that damaged a ton of buildings.
No electricity
An earthquake can cause telephone poles to destroy and people could go days without electricity.
The Solution
To prevent so much damage by an earthquake people can retrofit their houses.

1. Less death
2. Less damage of infrastructure
3. More amounts of electricity
