This Week @ PS 88Q

November 9th, 2020

Our Presidential Election, and our PS 88Q Election

This week, our country waited to find out who our next President of The United State would be. Our students talked about the election, the candidates and the issues in their classrooms, both in the building and remotely. What is the democratic process? What is the electoral college? What do the candidates support? On Saturday, we finally had and answer and President Elect Biden and Vice President Elect Harris were named as the winner. Our students have been witnessing many monumental moments this year, and this election is surely one of them. We have our first woman in office! Everything is possible for our kiddos.

The students also took part in the voting process, with hundreds of votes, the students voices have been heard. That is what democracy is all about!!
