Incredibly Italian! Cooking Class with Bob Calcagno and Susan VanBuskirk

Registration is still open for the next of our ever-popular Italian cooking classes! This week's menu' features:

- Crostini con cipolle dolci (crostini with sweet onions)

- Stracciatella (Italian egg-drop soup)

- Parmigiana di melanzane con ziti (eggplant parmesan with ziti pasta)

- Insalata di rucola con gorgonzola e pera (arugula salad with gorgonzola cheese and pear)

- Budino di riso (rice pudding)

The cost for the class is $38 for members, $43 for non-members. Feel free to bring a bottle of wine to share and definitely don't forget your appetite!

After a car accident left her physically unhurt but emotionally distraught, Giuliana struggles to find meaningful human connections, even among her own family. Il deserto rosso explores the modern industrial world, touching on themes of loneliness, alienation, and isolation, while looking to "translate the poetry of the world, in which even factories can be beautiful."

La Festa di San Valentino (Valentine's Day)

Please join us at Casa Italiana for a dinner to celebrate la Festa di San Valentino -- Valentine's Day! Our chef for the evening Bob Calcagno will prepare a special multi-course Italian meal for this special day, featuring:

-Antipasto di fagioli, sedano e olive (bean, celery, and olive appetizer)

-Capellini capricciosi (capellini pasta in a spicy pepper sauce)

-Maiale alla marsala (pork marsala)

-Rapini all’aglio e peperoncino (broccoli rabe with garlic and hot pepper)

-Insalata verde (Caesar Salad)

-Rum baba' alla crema (rum pastry with cream filling)
