Frequently Asked Questions
When will students begin wearing their regular school uniform?
Students will begin to wear their regular school uniform on Monday, September 13. We are aware that Schoolbelles has many items on backorder, and we are understanding of the situation. If this applies to your child, please inform your child’s teacher.
Are visitors allowed in the building?
Visitors will be limited but not prohibited at this time.
Can I drop off items that my child has forgotten?
The policy in our Parent-Student Handbook is that “Saint Paschal Baylon Catholic School teaches and promotes student responsibility. As a result, we ask parents not to bring forgotten items (lunch, homework, gym clothes, etc.) to school during the day. Lunch will be provided by the school, if needed.”
What is the mask policy for visitors to SPB?
All visitors, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask when entering Saint Paschal Baylon Catholic School.
Will I have to complete a Return to School form again this year if my child misses school due to COVID-related symptoms?
We will continue to require parents to have a doctor complete the Return to School Form in order to return to school. This form can be found on our website under Quick Links.
What are the guidelines for quarantine after exposure in the classroom?
We will follow the guidelines (flow chart) from the Ohio Department of Health to guide quarantine decisions. Please note that this flow chart applies only to COVID-19 exposures that occur in the classroom setting.
Will SPB offer simultaneous learning if my child must isolate or quarantine due to COVID-19?
At this time we will not be offering simultaneous learning. Teachers will provide work to students just as they would for a regular extended absence. Work can be picked up or taken home by a sibling. Older students will also be able to access Google Classroom just as they always have.
When will student mask policy be reevaluated?
We are regularly monitoring COVID data. We will reevaluate our mask policy by September 27.

Friday Playground Supervisor Needed
Playground Volunteers Needed-Grades 6-7-8
We are asking that each family (mom, dad, grandma, etc.) choose at least two days to volunteer each time slot being 11:15 am-12:50 pm. There are many, many time slots open! We are so grateful for the help!
This is a great way for you to interact with your child and his/her classmates during the school day! Recess Volunteers should arrive to school at 11:10 and check in at the office. Duties will include supervising students at recess, escorting the students to and from the school doors. Volunteers will be with one school staff member each day to help direct.
Remember that after your two volunteer time slots, you are done for the year, as each month is assigned to a different grade.
COVID-19 Volunteer Protocol: all recess volunteers are required to wear a mask when in the building.
Thank you again for your time and service to the students and teachers of SPB! Simply click on the following links to sign up: Grade 8, Grade 7, Grade 6

GENA MILLER VOLLEYBALL TAILGATE GATHERING
Come support Gena and her volleyball team on Sunday, Sept 5, in the SPB parking lot and then at the 8th grade volleyball game!
Message from the team: As many of you know and those who don’t know, Gena Miller’s (Mother of GG Miller) health took a turn for the worse. Her cancer is back and not curable. The 8th girls volleyball team is asking everyone to help us support Mrs. Miller this Sunday while she coaches our volleyball game. We want to have our first student section. Everyone wear CLE Browns gear. Be loud! It would mean so much to her. She has coached us girls since we were little and we don’t know how long she has left. We are tailgating before the game, 11:30 to 12:30, in the SPB parking lot. So pack a lunch and come on up! The game is at 1 and it’s a double header, so please come support Mrs. Miller and us, and make this the loudest student section ever. Wear the Browns gear…she loves them!

RECEPTION HELP NEEDED
We have been asked to host a small reception honoring Fr. Ernest Faladreau on his 70th anniversary with the Blessed Sacrament and his 65th anniversary as a priest on Sunday, September 19th following the 8:30 am mass.
We are planning on providing coffee and donuts in the Fickel Narthex or under the school entrance overhang, more of a grab and go style.
I am looking for 3-4 volunteers from 7:00-9:00 am on Sunday morning
1) pick up donuts, either Giant Eagle or Dunkin
2) make coffee-start the coffee machine by 7:00 am
3) set up the table and serving cups/napkins/plates, supplies etc
4) clean up
Fr. Lane expects about 60+ people who usually attend the 8:30 mass.
Please contact me by email or phone if you are available and your help would be greatly appreciated!
