In Egypt the people gathered the wheat to grind it into flour. The flour then was made into bread,the basic food for them. The Egyptians collected grapes so they could make it into wine. The grapes were crushed by men's feet to get all the juice all of them. The wine was made with figs, dates, and pomegranates.

The Nile provided water for drinking, bathing, cooking, etc. The wealthy families built garden pools and stocked with lotuses and fish. Groups of men killed hippo for a sport and food.
