Review
After watching the movie I really disliked this book. However, after reading the book its actually a really good series. I really loved how the plot flows and getting to know Katniss' thoughts. Also, the suspense of wanting to know what happens in the games is amazing. Lastly, I really enjoyed getting to know Katniss and her past.
The plot was defiantly one of the best. It basically goes like this, Katniss Everdean is a girl from the poor sector called District 12. She has lived a fairly normal life being able to survive the drawings for the Hunger Games. However, when this years Hunger Games rolls around her little sister Prim is finally in the drawing for the death sentence. In the one in a couple thousand chance, Prim gets chosen to fight to the death in the games but Katniss volunteers to take her place. She is then sent to the Capitol and we get to find out whether or not she will survive.

Catching Fire
The thrilling sequel to The Hunger Games. This book picks up right where The Hunger Games left off. Much like the previous title, Catching Fire still has that suspense of what will happen next. Also, this story is still action packed and leaves you wanting to read more. I highly recommend this book if you enjoyed The Hunger Games.
Divergent
Divergent is a book very much like The Hunger Games. This book is also a science fiction/ dystopian book. Also, the main character is a girl who against all odds has to survive a test to determine her placement. However, she is what they call divergent and can't be placed so they try to kill her. I find this sort of plot very similar to The Hunger Games and I think you should read this once you finish The Hunger Games series.
The Maze Runner
All of these books have something in common and that's the main focus of The Maze Runner. In this book, Thomas is thrown into an unknown somewhat arena like maze. He must survive once again, against all odds. I think this book relates to The Hunger Games mostly because the very low chance of survival and how he is thrown in an arena like place.
