Eighth Grade Brat Fry

Saturday, Oct. 7th, 8am-3pm

Miesfeld's Triangle Market Inc, Sheboygan, WI, United States

Sheboygan, WI

Join us to support our eighth graders as they raise funds for their upcoming trip to Washington, D.C.

There is no school on October 12 or 13. Teachers will be receiving ALICE training, CPR training, and training on Sustaining our Mission as Catholic educators. Please enjoy your long weekend. We look forward to returning refreshed on Monday, October 16.

Weather Appropriate Clothing

As our weather begins to change, please be aware of what your child is choosing to wear to school each day. With these sometimes cool, sometimes warm fall days layers are best so that your child is not too hot or too cold. For our younger children this is a great opportunity to discuss temperature and weather as well as good decision making.

Basketball Open Gym

There will be an open gym for all kids in 5-8 grade (girls and boys) who plan on playing for Seton this winter. They will be held on Wednesdays in October from 5-6pm. That would include Oct 4, 11,18, and 25. There would not be coaching but merely "crowd control" and some coordination. Thank you.

Wagons Needed

We are looking for donations of gently used children's wagons for our 3K program. If you have a wagon you would like to donate to Seton School, please contact the school office. Thank you.

Recess Supervisor Needed

We are in urgent need of one more recess supervisor for lunch recesses. The hours are 11:15-12:45 Monday and Friday only. The position pays $12.25/hour. If you are interested, please contact Monique or Dr. Nardi.

Pet Blessing

On Sunday, October 8 at 2:15 pm we will hold a pet blessing at the Seton School playground. We will invoke the intercession of St. Francis of Assisi. In order to avoid any unpleasant incident (I am thinking hypothetically of a pet falcon and a pet hamster meeting for the first time! ☺) please make sure your pet is on a leash or in a cage during the blessing.

From Home and School...

Congrats to the Second Grade class on winning the September Box-Top hand-in! They are celebrating today with their popsicle and popcorn party. Keep sending in your Box-Tops towards October's incentive of spooky treats!

Our Magazine Sale wraps up TODAY! Please make sure your envelopes from your sales are handed in to the school office. Thank you for your participation and help in making this a great success for our school! We will announce the scrip gift certificate winner as well as the giant stuffed frog winners in the near future! Stay tuned!

The next Home and School meeting is Wednesday, October 11 from 5:30-6:30 pm in room 208. Everyone is welcome to join us!

Safety and Facilities Committee

The Seton School Board is organizing a new Safety and Facilities Committee. The primary role of the members will be to identify and prioritize safety and facility (building and grounds) needs so that they can be addressed in a timely and responsible manner. We are hoping to find interested volunteers for the committee who also have an expertise in some area of public safety, construction, or other related fields. If you are interested, please contact Dr. Nardi, Fr. Matthew, or a member of the Seton School Board.

In Light of the Recent Tragedy...

This link below offers parents some advice on how to protect your children from trauma due to media exposure after a tragedy.

Now Taking Coffee and Tea Orders for October

Our first order was submitted and we are now accepting Mystic Monk orders for October. If you are interested in some great coffee and tea, please have your orders in no later than October 27. Order forms are available in the school office and the parish offices of our three parishes. Orders will be collected monthly throughout the school year.

Scrip Signup for Mass

Below is a link to a Signup Genius to sell Scrip after Sunday Mass. We rely on Seton families and some parishioners to fill the schedule. Please consider filling a shift or two.

Weather and Other Closings or Delays

As our Wisconsin weather begins to change, we want to remind you that we will be following the Sheboygan Area School District in weather-related closings and delays. The exception would be days when Sheboygan Public is not in session. In that case we would make those decisions independently.

You can see our announcements on TMJ4, NBC26, and WBAY2. Closings and delays will also be posted on our school website, Facebook page, and Twitter. In addition, we will send out a recorded phone call and a REMIND.

To get Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School text or email reminders and announcements on your phone, join REMIND by following this link or the directions below.
