Jimtown Intermediate
3rd Quarter
Message from Mrs. Brubaker
While reflecting on this newsletter and looking back on last year's letter at this time, I realize that we are in a different place. We are here, and teaching and learning has been continuous.
Students took their IReady diagnostic before the end of the second nine weeks and the data has been phenomenal. We see evidence of the learning gap that the pandemic has created beginning to close. Students are growing and continued hard work is starting to be rewarded.
We are halfway through yet another school year, and while we are not back to normal, we are definitely inching our way closer. As always, it is a joy to work with your children day in and day out. They often amaze and many times they teach us as much as we teach them.
We are looking forward to finishing strong. Keep in mind that this second half of the year is when our high stakes testing begins and are students are asked to show what they know. We will keep you informed in regards to when that testing begins.
As always, thanks for trusting us with your most prized possessions. Stay safe and healthy and let's rock this second semester!!

Covid Reminders
It is very important that the nurse be made aware as soon as possible of any close contacts or positive test results within your household. Knowing dates of positive cases will assure that your student is returning to school at the appropriate time.
As a reminder, any student who is showing ANY ill symptoms should stay home from school and may need to be evaluated by their physician. Many symptoms of COVID-19 are similar to symptoms of other common ailments such as a cold or allergies. If your student has any of the following symptoms: headache, congestion, runny nose, sore throat, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, body aches, loss of taste or smell, cough, or fever, please contact the school nurse and do not send them to school!
We strive to keep our schools open while keeping all of our students and staff safe. Your prompt, transparent communication is vital to achieving this goal.
