A Letter From The Teacher
I cannot believe that it is already October. This month holds many important days including Fall Break and Parent/Teacher Conferences. I am enjoying the time that I have spent with your student.
In reading and writing this week we will be focusing on descriptive writing. Through descriptive writing we will be focusing on story elements, figurative language and painting a picture in the readers mind. Also, we will be continuing our novel study with Freak The Mighty. The students will be meeting with their novel groups and discussing different parts of the novel we have read using critical thinking guided questions.
In math, all classes will begin Chapter 3 which focuses on dividing and multiplying two digit multiplication.
In Social Studies, the students will continue to work with their travel agency groups on their study of their provience and what their provience economically and social effects have on Canada.
Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you all at your conferences.
