Kindergarten Celebrates the Marriage of Q & U!

The Kindergarten students were invited to the annual ceremony of the marriage of letters Q and U. Students were invited to attend dressed as a beautiful queen or a handsome quarterback. The ceremony is a creative way to help these young readers and spellers remember that the letter Q is followed by the letter U, in almost all words to make the "qu" sound. Students and teachers danced and had cookies and punch at the reception. Dr. Brasher officiated the ceremony.
