NEW REGISTRATION PROGRAM

The Community Education and Recreation Department is excited to introduce our new registration program. For programs opening April 1 and beyond, registration will be through RecDesk. In order to register for a program, you must first create a RecDesk account and receive account approval.


ACCOUNTS WILL NEED APPROVAL

All account information will be approved by staff of Sauk Prairie Community Education and Recreation. Accounts must be approved prior to registering. You will receive an email when your account has been approved. Approval may take up to 2 business days.

Tennis instruction in a group lesson format with former HS head coach Casey Haselwander for the boy or girl with an interest in improving their tennis game. We will work on all aspects of the game from proper strokes, to drills, to live play. The group lesson format will be three kids with the instructor. Participants will be placed into a Monday or Thursday time slot once registration is closed. Possible time slots are: 5:10-6:00 pm; 6:10-7:00 pm; or 7:10-8:00 pm. Participants will be grouped by age. Please bring own tennis racket.

Concessions Lead (Position Description)

Under the supervision of the Recreation Director this position performs a variety of tasks related to concession operations. Work is performed according to established guidelines and the verbal and written instructions of the Recreation Director. Work is reviewed by the Recreation Director or Recreation Supervisor for accuracy and adherence to established procedures. (Wage: $10/hour )

United Way Scholarship Fund

United Way has donated funds for the Sauk Prairie Recreation Department to fund a scholarship program. As of January 2018, the Recreation Department has a new scholarship policy for programs.

MEMORY CAFE

Memory Cafe is a social gathering place for persons with memory loss, mild cognitive impairment, early Alzheimer's, or other dementia and their family and friends offering a relaxed environment to visit, share common interests, and enjoy refreshments.


Sponsored by the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Alliance of Wisconsin, with additional community support; including a grant provided by the Greater Sauk County Community Foundation and Sauk County Aging & Disability Resource Center as a Community Partner.

Board Games and More!

Visit the Community Center Monroe Street room to come and play new board games. Activities and board games provide great entertainment and help exercise the mind while having fun playing some of your favorite games. We will have games such as chess, checkers, cribbage, scrabble dominoes and more! See you there! State Tuned: Beginning Fall 2019, we will offer lessons in Cribbage and Euchre!

Join the fun at Chickenfoot Dominoes! Instead of the traditional way of connecting at the ends, the dominoes branch out in a chickenfoot pattern.
