Escape From Warsaw

Summary
Edik, Ruth, and Jen all got kicked out of their home because there presents were gone. They got taken to a cellar in a bombed house in Warsaw. They left on their own to go find their dad. On their journey to find their dad many things happen to them.
Theme
Hope: the children hope to find their dad. Their dad was taken away and all the children did was keep hoping that they would find him. Although, I think their is two themes. Fear can also be another because they feared that they could die from getting shot or even dying from starvation.

Research
On April 19, 1943, the Warsaw ghetto uprising began after German troops and police entered the ghetto to take the surviving people. During this time more than 250,000 Jews from the ghetto were injured or killed.
