April 2016

A message from Principal

Hello everyone! It is hard to believe that May is around the corner. The month of April flew by! Many RJH students participated in several academic and sporting events. Below is a recap of the fantastic job our students did this month.

RJH would like to start a makerspace (see last month's newsletter for more information). We would like to start small by have a Lego makerspace in the cafeteria. If you have any Legos you could donate to us, please bring them to RJH or call Mrs. Parsons at 458-0130 if you have any questions.

May will be a very busy month for RJH. School is out at 1:00 PM on May 18th. Your child will be having one-hour finals in all classes. The schedule changes for the last three days of school and will be listed below. Please note that during finals, all interruptions are kept to a minimum so messages will only be delivered during lunches or between classes.

Please note that the last day to take an AR test is May 13th. This means that all AR tests that need to be taken prior to 3:10 PM on May 13th. Any student that meets their AR goal for 4th Quarter will be eligible to participate in the AR Reward Party on May 16th during 4th Hour. The teachers are planning a lunch along with fun and games for this time period. If you have any questions about this, please call Miss Ingram at 458-0130.

Rolla Public Schools has an official Twitter Account, you can follow the district on Twitter @Rolla31Official

Please be sure to look below to catch many highlights of the month as well as the upcoming important dates that will occur in May.

The weekend of April 15th, the History Department took its annual trip to Vicksburg, Mississippi, to visit the Civil War battlefield there.
