Nike Child Labor

Nike has been using Child Labor!

Nike Child Labor Issue

Nike has been using child labor all around the world. They have been using Nike child labor so they don't have to pay workers, they tried to keep it a secrete until a reporter found out about it when visiting one of the sweat shops. after people started to find out they went down in business people started to get angry at Nike for using child labor. This is happening all around the world but mostly has been in China, Indonesia, and Vietnam. And I have a map with percentages of how much child labor is in every country. They didn't tell people about there sweat shops around the world or otherwise word would get out and the would run out of business. Well someone did find out about there sweat shops word got out and business did go down but now is rising. They have solved the problem of child labor or did they? Nike child labor is kids around the world working 12-14 hours a day on make clothing, shoes, sports accessories, and many more. These kids don't have the experience you have they grew up working off there depths. I haven't found when Nike child labor was found but I know that it started in the before the 2000 but that's all I can say about when it started.

Nikes child labor problem

Nike has been accused of using child labor in the production of its soccer balls in Pakistan. This case study will examine the claims and describe the industry and its impact on laborers and their working conditions. While Pakistan has laws against child labor and slavery, the government has taken very little action to combat it. Only a boycott by the United States and other nations will have any impact on slavery and child-based industries. Futhermore the U.S constitution states that child labor is an illegal and inhumane practice and any U.S. company found guilty practicing and encouraging it will be prosecuted.GATT and WTO prohibits member nations, like the United States, from discriminating against the importation of goods made by children. Are dolphins becoming more important than children? A question making WTO to reconsider the children's appeal of the third world.

The solution to Nike Child Labor

What has been done to Nike child labor? The country has shut it down but we don't know if there are more that we don't know of. What could be done? We could just shut down every child labor company and Nikes too. The United States has a strict policy about child labor so it doesn't really happen here we then we try to save more kids from child labor and set them free. To sum this is up we should shut down all sweat shops, so little kids can live a life of fun and playing with friends. Instead of working 12-14 hours a day. I would also like to add to all this info about a book I read called Iqbal. This book is about a little kid who lives at a sweat and makes carpets all day he gets into trouble gets sent to the tumb. The he escapes 2 times once was when he brought back cops but then were payed to let him go. He escapes another
