The Difference Between Dialing 0, *77 and 911
All are important to understand how and when to use them.
Please see the information below.
Dialing O
- Contacts the school receptionist, Terry Brady.
- Used for non-emergencies such as needing a custodian for clean up or a campus supervisor to escort a student.
Dialing *77
- Immediately notifies all administrators, administrative assistants, the SRO and Campus Supervisors
- Used when an administrator or nurse is needed immediately in instances of physical altercations, large school disruptions, medical emergency, etc.
- Does NOT replace 911
Latex Allergy - HIGH IMPORTANCE
I hope you all have had a fantastic summer! I wanted to send out a reminder email that we have a student with a severe latex allergy.
Due to this student having a severe latex allergy it is very important to keep Park Hill a safe environment. We have made bags for each teacher that include latex free band aids, latex free gloves, and latex free rubber bands. They are all in your mailbox ready for pick up. Please, if you have any rubber bands in your classroom, remove them and use the latex-free rubber bands you were provided with. If you need additional, please let me know. Also, as a friendly reminder NO LATEX BALLOONS. If you see balloons in the building notify the nurse's office and front office immediately.

Submitting Student of the Day Nominations
Submitting Information for Daily Announcements
- Name of Group
- Date and Time of Meeting/Event
- Length of time to be run - from what date to what date
- Contact info, if needed
- Any special instructions
Announcements must come from a staff member and are typically copied and pasted from the email, so please make sure that information is correct and there are no grammar, punctuation or spelling errors.
Coaches/Music Teachers - please remember to send announcements to LEAD if you have LEAD students on your rosters.
Staff Sign Out When Leaving the Building
During the school day, if you need to leave the building while students are in attendance, even during your plan time, please make sure you check out. Terry Brady has developed a google doc to be used to check yourself out and back in. This is needed in case of emergency where we must account for all staff and students. Click on the link below.

How to Submit a Purchase Requisition
- REQUISITIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO THE TIME OF ORDERING.
- DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER UNTIL YOU'VE SUBMITTED YOUR REQUISITION AND IT HAS BEEN APPROVED WITH A P.O. NUMBER.
- ONCE YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR P.O. NUMBER YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PLACING YOUR OWN ORDER,
- ORDERS SUBMITTED WITHOUT REQUISITION APPROVAL ARE SUBJECT TO NON PAYMENT.
The Purchase Requisition is the initial form that is turned into your supervisor or Penny Cotten, our bookkeeper, to request a purchase order to be issued. There is a fillable requisition for your use and it can be found in Schoology under Bookkeeper Forms.
Basic Information about requisitions:
· REQUISITIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED PRIOR TO THE TIME OF ORDERING. DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER UNTIL YOU'VE SUBMITTED YOUR REQUISITION AND IT HAS BEEN APPROVED WITH A P.O. NUMBER.
- You will be responsible for placing your own orders.
· Technology must approve/order technology items.
· Buildings and Grounds must approve/order furniture, bulletin boards, white boards, carts.
· If quotes are required (purchase of a single item number is over $1000) they must be submitted with the requisition.
· Department Budget purchases must be approved by the department head before they come to the bookkeeper.
· Team/ Department/ Account Name to be used to pay the purchase order must be included on the requisition (the bookkeeper will add the account code).
· It takes at least three days to receive a purchase order from District Office from the time of submitting the requisition - so plan ahead.
· You can attach a cart/quote/invoice created from a vendor or their website and do not need to rewrite the items on the requisition.
· If the requisition is ok to pay, then back-up paperwork is required. The only exception would be a donation or a scholarship.

How to Submit a Work Request
Everyone is able to enter their own work request AND SHOULD DO SO.
Is your classroom too hot/cold?
Do you need hooks installed on your wall to hang items?
Do you have a leak in your ceiling?
Do you need field/equipment repairs?
Put in a work request in FMX.
All requests for work orders are entered online through https://parkhill.gofmx.com .
- Click Maintenance Requests on the left sidebar, then click New Request.
- Enter the required fields (marked with an asterisk) and click Submit.
- Check your email for your request confirmation.
How to Submit Transportation Requests
Everyone is able to enter their own field trip/athletic/activity bus requests AND SHOULD DO SO.
All requests for transportation and/or trips are entered online through https://parkhill.gofmx.com . Select Transportation Requests to fill out a request to schedule a bus.
- Click Transportation Requests in the left sidebar, then click New Request
- Enter the required fields (marked with an asterisk) and click Submit to submit the transportation request.
- Check your email for your request confirmation and a link to check the status of your request. New requests will either be finalized or moved on to a "Pending" state if they will be approved.
· Enter your transportation request into FMX once your field trip or event has been approved and scheduled.
· Your transportation request must be entered AT LEAST 14 days prior to the departure date to allow scheduling more time to find drivers ahead of time.
· Any changes to a transportation request that has been approved/activated must be done via email to Lorrie Kopp. You will not be able to make changes to an approved/activated request.
· Please include your cell number on this form.
· If you believe that a trip is supposed to be taking place on a particular day and you don’t see it on the calendar, please be sure to contact Lorrie Kopp.
· DO NOT call First Student to add a last minute trip or make any changes to a trip.
· If your scheduled bus does NOT arrive on time, please contact Lorrie Kopp. Your scheduled trip charge may be eligible for a refund.

Staff Parking Tags
All staff members are required to display a PHHS parking tag in their car during the work day. If you are a new staff member, contact Pam Shilko in Student Services to request a parking tag.

Staff Parking Reminders
Just a few parking reminders for staff:
- Please make sure your hanging tag is visible.
- Reserved parking starts on August 11.
- Please remember there is no parking on curbs and no parking in visitor or handicap parking.
- if you don’t have a parking tag and need one,
- if your parking tag is getting old and brittle or
- if you got a new car and need to submit new information.
Printer Problems?
We have 6 staff printers and 7 student printers at PHHS and, as you well know, we experience problems with these printers from time to time.
- If a printer is jamming, please attempt to clear the jam using the step-by-step guide that will be displayed on the screen. If you are unsuccessful, place an "Out of Order, Office Has Been Notified" sign on the printer and contact Danette.
- If you experience an error message on the display, please take a picture of it and notify Danette.
- If a printer is out of toner, needs a toner waste container replaced or needs staples replaced please locate these extra items in the printer work area and replace them. If you do not know how to replace the items, please find someone in your department to teach you how.

We have several new teachers to the building this year, so Justin Ford wanted to remind you of how to watch Trojan TV News announcements at the end of 4th block. A direct link to the live stream will be emailed to you several minutes before the start of announcements (2:52) each day If you want to bookmark the Trojan TV News YouTube channel it is www.youtube.com/phhstrojantvnews. The live stream should also show up as a link option on our main page.
