Graduation Update 6-11-2020
Amended time for Graduation:
Re: Graduation Ceremony for the Senior Class of 2020
After much consideration, and weather permitting, we have decided to hold the 2020 graduation ceremony at the Rock Creek Softball Field on June 12th @ 7:30 pm. This outdoor venue will allow our graduates to invite unlimited guests. Our graduates will be seated in the infield and all guests will be asked to bring seating and sit in the outfield. The ceremony will be live-streamed on Facebook, our school website, and on Mix 96’s website for those who are not able to attend. As an extra precaution we will have staff members at the entrance to take temperatures as guests arrive. Anyone who has a temperature of above 100 degrees will not be allowed to enter. We ask that individuals use common sense and their best judgement when deciding whether to attend the graduation ceremony. We are not requiring individuals to wear masks, but we encourage masks if desired. We ask that if you do not feel well, please do not attend the ceremony. To further adhere to safety precautions, the board members will not shake hands or hug the graduating students (except for direct family relations). If weather prevents us from having the ceremony outdoors, we will adhere to our original plan of holding graduation in the gym, which means only four guests per graduate.
Graduates are required to attend graduation practice at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11th at the softball field. After practice, dinner will be provided for the graduates. Each senior will receive five roses to present to his or her loved ones at graduation. Graduates are responsible for any other flowers they wish to give.
Seniors, please arrive at graduation no later than 7:00 p.m. and report to the elementary gymnasium for a group photo.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
We are working hard to ensure that our graduates get the ceremony that they deserve. Thank you for partnering with us to make Rock Creek a great school.
