Cedar Grove Friday Flash
January 19, 2018
Dear Cedar Grove Families,
It has been a short week of school, given the holiday and snow day. Please continue to monitor any additional delays, early release days, or closures through the MCPS website or local news channels. As a reminder, please make sure your children are dressed warmly and appropriately for the weather, as students will continue to go outside for recess if the temperature is above the freezing mark.
Unfortunately as a result of the very cold temperatures, we had a pipe burst in the art room, causing considerable damage. Maintenance workers will begin repairs, which will take several weeks. In the meantime, Ms. Annie Kim, our art teacher, will be working with students in room 19 until repairs are completed.
On another note, the health room is in need of clothing donations for children who may need a change of clothes. If you have usable children's clothing, including pants, shirts, or socks to donate, please drop them off at the health room. Your donation would be greatly appreciated.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend!
