Tech Tuesday Resources
iOS Features You're Probably Not Using...Yet
Overview
In November's Tech Tuesday Morning sessions I shared iOS features you're probably not using...yet including: photo editing and markup tools, multitasking features, Reader View in Safari and Flyover Tours in iOS maps.
See the videos and info below to get an idea of how these features work.

Photo editing and markup made easy
With the latest iOS update your iPads photo reel just got a lot more useful. Students can take an ordinary photo and turn it into an expression of learning.
Students could save a photo from a site like Britannica Image Quest or snap a photo during class of a project, experiment, text, or worksheet, add annotations and drawing to describe their thinking.

Multitasking
Students can now split their iPad screen into two so that they can be doing two tasks simultaneously - for example they may be reading from a website on one side of their screen and taking notes on the other. Check out how that works below.
How to multitask
Reader View - Simplifying Text in Safari
You can help your students achieve a distraction free reading experience in Safari by employing Reader View. This view will allow students to take away distracting ads and embeds so they can focus on the text. Additionally they can change the way the text and page looks to meet their own personal preferences.

iOS Maps - Learn about the World
iOS Maps has many of the traditional features that you would expect out of a map tool including: directions, Satellite views and traffic. As a bonus there are also a number of Flyover Tours that allow students to see cities that may otherwise be hard to visit.
This is a great tool for teaching Geography!
