The Los Angeles County Dept of Public Health will be using our facilities to host FREE covid-19 vaccine clinics on some upcoming Saturdays at our eight comprehensive sites, in the Cafeterias. They are open to everyone- students, staff, parents, and the community. Walk-Ins are welcome, but they strongly encourage you to make an appointment so they bring enough vaccine shots.
The Department of Public Health has contracted vendors to administer the shots. The appointment-scheduling links on the FLYERS below are SPECIFIC to EACH LOCATION. You can choose ANY location, but again, it is best to make an appointment just so they bring ENOUGH shots:

AVUHSD Annual Parent/Guardian Legal Notification
Each year, the Antelope Valley Union High School District shares an important annual notification packet with parents and families. The packet informs you of certain rights, regulations, and responsibilities of students attending public schools. These packets are available for review on the district website at the link below. You may also request a printed copy of this packet from your student’s guidance office.
Included in the packet are three forms:
1. The Parental Acknowledgement form confirming receipt of this information is required and must be printed, signed, and returned to your student’s school counseling office.
2. The Student Opt Out Release of Pupil Information form is optional. If you want to opt out of your student participating in media visits, the release of student directory information, appearances in video streaming of AVUHSD activities, photos or videos of students being featured on AVUHSD or school site webpage(s), social media pages, links, etc.; please print, sign, and return it to your student’s school counseling office.
3. The Cal Grant Opt Out form is also optional. If you want to opt out of your student participating in the Cal Grant Program, please print, sign, and return it to your student’s school counseling office.
Please note that this information is not intended as a comprehensive listing of the District’s behavioral expectations and consequences. Specific school policies, rules, regulations, and procedures are available separately at each school. If you have any questions regarding these notifications, please contact your school Principal.
