Let's Make this year a success!
What you can do:
Please check and return their NEU Agenda daily. Students will have a very small mount of math homework each night which is to be completed and returned the next day. Your student should be reading 30 minuets per night as well. They have a Weekly Reading Log that is due on Friday and should be filled in daily. Support the classroom rules, routines and expectations so that all students can succeed in their goals!
What your child needs:
Your child's body and mind is growing and changing. 10 to 12 hours of sleep is needed. A good breakfast and healthy snack will keep your students brain ready to learn. Their bodies are changing and your student should practice good hygiene by wearing deodorant, brushing teeth, and bathing daily.

Classroom Management
In this classroom we will be using the Nurtured Heart Approach which gives all students the tools to be successful with classroom behavior. This helps students with self monitoring of their own behaviors which is a life skill. Positive notes home, Ram Rewards, and class points on the score board are all ways students are recognized for good behavior.
Consequences
If Positive reinforcements are not working for your child, the following consequences may occur:
