Nazareth Catholic Community
November 12, 2017 ~ 31st Sunday of Ordinary Time
Come to Mass, it is good for your brain!
Greetings Everyone,
As Catholics, our tradition offers many ways to be mindful and focused on what needs to be accomplish. It is at these time we are especially invited to let the gift of our tradition sustain us in times we become overwhelmed. Over these last weeks of the semester, turn to the offerings of your Catholic Community to help! Our Sunday, 7:00PM Mass, Adoration and Compline this Tuesday at 8:00PM (see below) and our Wednesday Mass at 12:30PM are wonderful ways of becoming more centered, focused and peaceful especially in times of stress. Additionally, taking time out for private prayer assists us by carrying these benefits throughout your week.
I was recently at a national conference for college and university chaplains where doctors presented research that demonstrated that individuals who participated in regular spiritual or religious practices not only felt better but actually had healthy brains! So Mass and prayer actual helps your brain be healthy!
Peace,
~ Jamie
