Girls Basketball Brings Home Marquette Tournament Championship

Congratulations to our Girls Basketball program on winning the Marquette Tournament on Friday night. The Lady Vikings won the championship by knocking off top seeded Webster 50-40. To reach the championship game they earned wins over Marquette and FZW. Congratulations to Coach Muench and our Lady Vikings on a Marqutte Tournament Championship! For their strong performances during the week Jane Thompson, Micah Huwe, and Taylor Russell were named to the Marquette All-Tournament Team. Congratulations to these three seniors on a great week!

Cheer Finishes 5th At MCCA State Championships

Congratulations to Cheer on finishing 5th at State in the MCCA State Championships on Saturday at Lindenwood University. Our Howell Cheerleaders competed in the toughest division at State that included several perennial State powers. You can view their performance by clicking the link below. Varsity Wrestling Takes 3rd At FHN Tournament With 5-1 Dual Record

The Varsity Boys Wrestling Team traveled down 94 to FHN on Saturday to compete in the FHN Tournament. The Vikings had a strong showing and earned a 5-1 record in duals for the day. GG's & Company Have Strong Showing At Lindbergh Competition

Congratulations to our Varsity Golden Girls & Company for a great Saturday at the Lindbergh Competition. The GG's & Co. brought home a first place finish in the lyrical jazz category and second place in their hip-hop routine. They also received an "Outstanding Award" for their lyrical jazz routine choreography. You can view their hip-hop routine by clicking the link below. Our GG's & Company will next perform at the UDA Chicagoland Competition on January 5th. Good luck to our GG's & Company as they continue their preperation to bring home a seventh State Championship in program history. They have previously won six of the past ten State Championships in 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015, 2017 and 2018.


Lindbergh Competition Hip-Hop Routine

Girls Swim Wins Pattonville Tri, Finishes 8th At Marquette Invitational

The Girls Swim program is off to a fast start to their 2018-19 season. On Friday they traveled to compete in a tri with Pattonville and FHN. Our Lady Vikings swimmers won the meet by scoring 139 points. Pattonville finished second with 127 and FHN third with 64 points.


On Saturday our Lady Viking swimmers traveled to swim in the very competitive Marquette Invitational. Our swimmers set several PR's and finished 8th in the meet which was comprised of several programs that regularly finish in the Final Four at State. JV Golden Girls Dominate Lindbergh Invitational

Congratulations to the JV GG’s for their dominant performance at the Lindbergh Invitational. Our GG's took home 1st in hip hop and 1st in lyrical jazz. They also won “Most Memorable Hip Hop Routine” & were the overall highest scoring JV program at the invitational. Congratulations again to the staff and our GG's for a great day at Lindbergh!

Gail Nichols Competes In All-State Volleyball Game

Congratulations to Howell Volleyball senior Gail Nichols on being selected to the Class 4 All-State Volleyball team. On Saturday she traveled to Helias to compete in the All-State Volleyball game. Gail will be furthering her education and volleyball career at Drury University in the fall. Congratulations to Gail for not only representing Howell well on the court but also off as well!

Boys Basketball Finishes 2nd At Troy Invitational

Congratulations to the Boys Basketball team on finishing second at the Troy Invitational last week. The Vikings fell in the championship game to a talented McCluer North team. To reach the championship game they earned wins over Columbia Hickman and Hazelwood West. Good luck to our Vikings as they begin a tough stretch of games in December.

JV Wrestling Takes 2nd Place At FHN Tournament

Congratulations to the JV Wrestling Team on taking 2nd place at the FHN Tournament on Saturday. The JV went 6-0-1 on the day in duals with wins over McCluer North, Lafayette, FHN, Jackson, Rockwood Summit, and Troy. You can view our Howell JV medalists from the tournament below. Boys Soccer Seniors Complete Best Four Years In Program History

The Boys Soccer program has had an impressive four year run at Howell. The 15 seniors set new standards within the boys program and have worked to establish Howell as one of the top programs in the State and their on and off field success proves it. Over the course of the past 4 years the soccer program has won 78 games, won 30 GAC South matches, scored 332 goals, earned 49 clean sheets, won 3 GAC South Championship, won 3 District Championships, and brought home the first Boys Soccer State Championship in school history. The program also spent the past four years volunteering with SPENSA. Congratulations to Coach Enright and the Boys Soccer program for a fantastic four year run.

Howell Alum Sutton Smith Wins MAC Awards, Proposes on National TV

Congratulations to Howell alum Sutton Smith on being named the MAC Defensive Player of the Year and the MAC Player of the Year. The Howell grad and NIU standout currently leads the nation in tackles and is a projected top three round NFL draft pick in the 2019 draft.


On Friday night after capping off a MAC Conference Championship and another strong performance on national t.v., Sutton proposed to another Howell alum Julie Sacco. Congratulations to Sutton and Julie on the engagement! You can view the video of the proposal by clicking the link below.

Stiens Performs With St. Louis Ballet Company's Peformance of Balenchine's Nutcracker

Congratulations to senior Sara Stiens, who has been part of the professional production of the St Louis Ballet Company's performance of Balenchine's Nutcracker the past three years. The production will have 13 performances from December 14th-23rd. Tickets for the production can be purchased by visiting www.touhill.org Congratulations to Sara on a great accomplishment!

Viking Leadership Academy Continues To Develop Leadership Capacity In Howell Students

The Viking Leadership Academy (VLA) continues to meet twice each month during Howell Time. The leadership development program aims to develop leadership capacity in the students that attend. This past week VLA focused on "Inspiring Other Vikings." Members of the Student Leadership Council took a leadership role in the student led circles that focused on who inspires us, what traits these individuals have and how we can inspire others around us at Howell. The Viking Leadership Academy is open to all students at Howell and attendance is encourage by the coaches and sponsors within the Howell programs. The next VLA session during Howell Time will be December 12th.

Choir Hosts 9th Annual FHSD Vocal Clinic

Friday was a very special day for Howell choir members as they hosted over 150 middle school choir students at the 9th Annual FHSD Vocal Clinic. High school students worked to build vocal skills, personal connections and leadership skills with the middle school students in attendance. Football Donates $1100 To Backstoppers

Thank you to all that attended the 4th Annual First Responders Night this fall. Eventhough the weather did not cooperate Viking fans were able to raise $1100 to be donated to the Backstoppers. Thank you to the football program and all Viking fans for making this annual event possible. We look forward to good weather next fall as we continue this large community event.

Howell Alum Tanner Hale Named To All MIAA Team

Congratulations to 2014 Howell graduate Tanner Hale on being named to the All-MIAA Football team. Tanner is a senior at Missouri Western. On Sturday the finished off their season in the Live United Texarka Bowl. Congratulations to Tanner on a great college career.
