Reflection Corner: The Presence of the Holy Spirit

Happy Solemnity of the Ascencion!

Listen to Jesus’ final words to his disciples before ascending to His Father, “ You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” ( Acts 1:8)

As Catholics, we acknowledge the presence of the Holy Spirit. Many, however, have yet to discover His presence in their daily personal experience. This Easter Season offers the invitation to reflect, be open and grateful for the presence of the Spirit in our ordinary daily experiences.

Honoring our Blessed Mother Mary

The Catholic Church dedicates the month of Mary in honor of our Blessed Mother Mary. We nurture our devotion to Mary with the traditional “May Crowning” to honor her as Queen of Heaven and Mother of God. OLM takes this month again as an opportunity to help the children develop a special love for Mary. We are having our school mass and the May Crowning on May 11 at 10:00 a.m. Please do remind student of their active participation and engagement in the celebration of the mass.

Spirit Week - Grease Week

In anticipation of our upcoming carnival, themed Grease, we are once again having a weeklong spirit week. Let us encourage all our students to get into the sprit by dressing up for school following the themes set for each day:
