Congratulations to the Howell E-Sports Team and Coach Reeves. In their first year competing the Vikings are currently ranked #1 in the State and are ranked #12 in the nation! The team also has several players that are ranked in the Top 500 players in North America. Congratulations to Pascal Sikorski, Rahul Moss and Declan Murdock for making this elite list of gamers. Band Competes At MSHSAA State Ensemble
This week the band program was busy competing in the MSHSAA large, small and state solo ensembles. This past week the Concert Band and the Symphonic Band both received Outstanding ratings and the Wind Ensemble received an Exemplary rating while competing in the large ensemble competition.
On Saturday Howell Band students traveled to Fort Zumwalt East to compete in the MSHSAA State Solo/Small Ensembles contest. Our Vikings had strong individual and group performances. Choir Turns In Strong Performances At MSHSAA Ensemble
This past week our Choir competed in the MSHSAA state large, small and solo ensembles. Earlier in the week all four Choral ensembles earned Exemplary ratings. Additionally, everyone earned Exemplary ratings in Sight reading.
On Saturday the Howell Choir students traveled to Fort Zumwalt East to compete in the MSHSAA State Solo/Small Ensembles contest. Our Vikings had strong individual and group performances. There were 56 students representing the Choir Program in a total of 30 various ensembles and solos. It was a great day with 16 Exemplary ratings and 10 Outstanding ratings! Almost 30 FHHS Choir students will be working to go to State Contests on May 1st.

12 Fall Student-Athletes Earn Academic All-State Honors
This past fall our student-athletes not only had a successful season on the field, course and court, they also excelled in the classroom. A total of 123 students earned academic all-conference honors and recently the coaches associations of the fall sports communicated their academic all-state recipients. Howell fall programs had a total of ten student-athletes named to the coaches associations all-state teams. Our Howell Ed Rising students recently competed at the State level and we had several students advance to Nationals. Congratulations to Mrs. Rupp and the following students on a great accomplishment and good luck at Nationals!

Cheer Tryout Dates Released For the 2020-21 Season
The Cheer program has announced upcoming dates and times for those interested in trying out for cheer for the 2020-21 season. Information for the tryout informational meeting, open gyms and tryouts can be found below. Tryouts are open to incoming freshman and current freshman, sophomores and juniors.
You can find the MSHSAA Physical packet that is required prior to tryouts at www.howellvikings.com Within the next week additional information will be communicated regarding the new paperless eligibility paperwork process that will be housed completely online. This piece will also be required prior to tryouts. This information will be communicated on the www.howellvikings.com website and in the Viking Insider. We are looking forward to unveiling this new and more friendly process for the 2020-21 season.

Raven Robotics Feature: Business Team
This week we highlight the Raven Robotics Business Team. This team is in charge of documenting the team's activities with videos, assisting with fundraising and posting updates on social media. 2020 Prom Information Released
It’s time to start to prepare for prom. Our prom will be on Friday, April 17th at Old Hickory Country Club. The doors will open at 6:00. Prom will be from 6:30-10:00.
Ticket Sales will be sold March 30th – April 3rd. No tickets will be sold after this date. NO EXCEPTIONS. Remember you will NOT be allowed to purchase a ticket if you have any fines or fees(this includes your activity fee). Please take care of your fees and fines now!
Ticket Prices are $60.00 per ticket. We will be offering an early bird special. If you buy your tickets on March 30th or March 31st you may purchase your tickets for $55.00 per ticket. The dinner portion of the dance will be a variety of appetizers, desserts and a soda bar served buffet style. If you are planning to bring a guest from another school, you will need to have your guest form completed prior to buying their ticket.
Please remember to engage in safe and appropriate behavior (including while on the dance floor) at prom. Failing to meet this requirement may result in removal from the event and/or other school consequences.

Updates To Howell High School Included In Prop S
The Francis Howell School District Board of Education has voted unanimously to place Proposition S on the April 7, 2020, ballot. Proposition S is a $244 million bond issue that will not increase the current tax rate. Voter approval of Proposition S would allow the District to borrow money now and in the future to address pressing facility needs at all Francis Howell schools. Updates at FHHS would include a new auditorium/storm shelter and wrestling room, and replacement of our tennis courts and stadium bleachers. For more information, please visit the District website.
