2022-23 School Year :: February 6, 2023
A Message from Mrs. Hankins
I have had quite the week of being a proud principal! I have had the pleasure of enjoying the day with students winning our January Principal's Challenge and getting to be principal for a day. Successful learners joined me for breakfast as we honored those students showing off skills of perseverance and forgiveness. Our RoboCats pulled together and problem solved at their recent competition this Saturday, and students were sharing goals and successes they were reaching each day. So proud!
Not only am I proud of our students, but our staff too. Our staff has been looking at the whole child, their behaviors, academics, and personal strengths to help guide them to excellence. The high expectations for individuals, and celebrations as students overcome obstacles is always present. And not just with students, but with each other. We are able to think through and support one another in fellowship and educational endeavors. It's really something special.
Thank you to our JSE community for helping everyone be LOVED at JSE. I hope you take time this week to notice and appreciate that LOVE of our JSE community around you too. (And feel free to share them my way, I'd love to highlight that hope and joy!)
With love and gratitude,
Mrs. Hankins

RoboCats at Robotics Competition
The robotics team meets weekly and works to build a robot car they can program and move to complete tasks of a game. There are points for getting the discs down and extra points if they are passed through the other half. They work with teams around the area and their own personal bests. I am so proud of these hard workers!
