To better meet the needs of our students, through a collaboration with Unity Grief and Education Center, Lineville Intermediate School is pleased to offer our students the opportunity to participate in a School Based Grief Support Group.

Are you looking for strategies to use with your reader at home? Please view the strategies listed below!


Comprehension Strategy:

Turning Headings into Questions:

  1. Turn the heading of a section or chapter into a question.

  2. Read the section and bullet key words that help answer the heading question you came up with during step one.

  3. Use the heading question and key words to identify the main idea of the passage.


Vocabulary Strategies:

Use the following strategies to help your child figure out the meaning of new, complex vocabulary words:

  1. Reread (or read on) and look for clues.

  2. Use the picture to explain the word.

  3. Use a known part.

  4. Make a connection.

  5. Substitute a word that makes sense.

  6. Use the glossary.

Parenting is hard. Join us as we partner with Triple P Parenting to learn more about addressing behaviors and promoting positive skills for our children. Triple P Parenting will talk about strategies to use for different age levels and offer space to discuss some of the most common struggles parents face regarding these topics.

Fly on the Wall Writing Competition

The Brown County Historical presents the Fly on the Wall Writing Competition for students of all ages! Students have until February 28. Winners will be announced at the end of April.

The Giving Tree is excited to announce that we have been selected as one of the 45 local nonprofits that will benefit from Give BIG Green Bay 2023!

From noon to noon on February 21 and 22, donations to The Giving Tree will be accepted. Over the past five years, Give BIG Green Bay has raised $8 million for local nonprofits. In 2022 alone, nearly $2.5 million was gifted to 45 nonprofit organizations. The Giving Tree is thrilled to have been selected to build upon this community-wide success.

Your donations to The Giving Tree through Give BIG Green Bay will support the families in our community who utilize this service, specifically through pantry dates, the Back-to-School event, and the Holiday Store. Know that your gift improves the lives of our students, in turn benefitting the future of our community.
