Family Wellness Festival
The Student Health Advisory Council (SHAC) is hosting the first-ever, Frisco ISD Family Wellness Festival. The event will be on Saturday, April 13 from 10am-1pm at Independence HS. This is a free event for students, parents, and employees. The goal is to promote the Whole Child through a family event that raises awareness to vendors in the community that can support all parts of the whole child. Students and families will have the opportunity to run/walk laps for their elementary PE programs, participate in live fitness demos, and complete a Passport to Wellness to be entered in door prizes.
American Heart Association Event - Health and Wellness
DEAR PARENTS,
We are proud to partner with the American Heart Association for the American Heart Challenge at Hunt Middle School! Students are receiving heart healthy messages and have service learning opportunities to raise money for The American Heart Association. All money raised will go towards life-saving research in the areas of heart disease and stroke, education, and advocacy.
We will celebrate the closing of this event by hosting the American Heart Challenge Student vs. Faculty Volleyball tournament! The final game will be held on March 8th at 3:00. Students may attend the final game for free. Students who wish to play in the tournament must donate $5 to the American Heart Association and sign up during lunches February 26-28. The Proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association and their fight against heart disease—the number one leading cause of death in our country.
