WE NEED SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL MEMBERS!
Training will be provided and no experience is necessary. This is an excellent opportunity to let your voice be heard and to affect change here at our school.
The School Site Council serves the students and the school by:
- developing the Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) with teachers and support staff;
- implementing and monitoring the SPSA;
- evaluating the SPSA to see if SPSA goals are met
Parent members of the SSC are expected to:
- attend the meetings held at 2:30pm on the following dates via Zoom (if a date after the first does not work, we can accommodate a change)
- Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 2:30
- Thursday, October 1, 2020 at 2:30
- Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 2:30
- Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 2:30
- Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 2:30
- Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 2:30
- Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 2:30
- learn about the SPSA through trainings and information shared at SSC meetings;
- actively participate in SSC responsibilities

Survey
Below is a brief survey so that will help us assess the needs of the families in our schools and coordinate student support services. It’s only 1 survey per household. The topics include the preferred contact method, technology needs, food/shelter resources, academics, social-emotional wellness, and other concerns. The full questions are listed below.
Just like we try to ensure that students in need of extra academic or social-emotional support get help when we are in person, we are making sure we support all students the best we can during distance learning. We appreciate your time and look forward to learning more about what needs are at our school so that we can help all students and families get connected with services, resources, and/or information.
If you have any questions, please reach out to the school counselor, Mr. Oseguera at eoseguera@srcs.k12.ca.us
Meals for Kids
We have two meal-related news items this month:
1- The USDA has extended the summer meal program so that we can continue to feed all children 0-18 with free Grab-and-Go meals this semester
2- We have extended our hours at meal sites. Many are now open from 6:45 - 9:00am and 4:30 - 7:00pm. For a complete list of days/times at each site: srcschools.org/meals
Please stop by. We still need to collect meal applications and will help you fill them out. Everything is confidential and meals are free for all kids. Need assistance? Call 707-890-3807 or email Kylie at kminto@srcs.k12.ca.us

English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC)

Open Enrollment
Most students attend their neighborhood school, but some students have reasons to request another school. "Open Enrollment," from Oct. 1 - Nov. 20, is the time to make that request for the 2021-22 school year. Applications must be completed online during that window. Families who need assistance can call the SAFE office at 707-890-3808. School capacities may restrict availability. See the SRCS district website for more information on Open Enrollment, also known as an "intradistrict" transfer. The online application will be available on the website beginning October 1.
