Campus is buzzing with the holiday spirit as we approach winter break. You'll find students and staff "dressed up" for the 12 days of Christmas, different organizations pumping out the holiday cheer with fun, food, and activities, and offices and classrooms decked out to celebrate! We are another week closer to finishing out our fall semester of the 2021-2022 school year and are working tirelessly to prepare students for their fall semester final exams. You'll find plenty of important announcements, shout-outs, and updates throughout this week's edition, so please take some time to read it all!
Final Exam Week - IMPORTANT TO NOTE!
On Thursday, December 16th, students are released at 11:50, but our TISD buses will not pick students up until the normal time at 2:50. In addition, lunch will not be provided for any students who stay on campus to ride the bus home at 2:50. Students who do not want to wait for the bus at 2:50, need to arrange for transportation or may walk home if desired.
On Friday, December 17th, students are released at 11:50 and our TISD buses will run at that time.
Attention Juniors! Class rings will be delivered Monday, December 13th during lunches.
STAAR EOC Re-testing
December STAAR EOC Re-testing will be December 7-10th. Students testing will get a pass the day before to notify them of where to go. Students will be released to class once they have completed their test.
SAT Testing for all Juniors will be March 2, 2022. No registration is required.

Students: It is imperative that you are on time for school and each class so you can set yourself up for success, earn credits, and not lose any possible exemptions!
Per College Board PSAT/NMSQT results will be released electronically on December 7, 2021.
How to Access Your Scores:
If you provided your email address on your answer sheet on test day, you'll receive an email notifying you of when your scores are available.
The email will have a unique access code that will connect you to your scores online. If you haven't already done so, you'll be asked to set up a free College Board account before you can view your scores.

Spring Semester Schedule Changes:
While it is too late to make elective schedule changes, you can make level changes at this time (ie. moving from TAP/AP/DC to on level). Please click on the appropriate link below to notify your counselor of your requested change. Please be aware that multiple classes, teachers, and lunches could change. Requests must be received by January 7th at 3 PM. However, we encourage you to let us know as soon as possible so that your student’s schedule will reflect the changes requested on the first day of the second semester of school. This is the last opportunity to make level changes for this school year.

Graduation! TMHS Class of 2022 Graduation ceremony will be held at Reed Arena on the campus of Texas A&M on Friday, May 27 at Noon. Please note the time change to Noon!

All students utilizing campus parking must have their parking permit tag visible in their vehicle while parked on school grounds. Any student without a visible parking permit is not allowed to park on school grounds. Parking permits may be purchased through the front office.

Student Cell Phone Reminders
- Cell phones may be used during class for instructional purposes and in accordance with each teacher’s guidelines. Please note that teachers may choose to prohibit cell phone use in their classrooms.
- Cell phones may be used before and after school, between class periods, and during lunch as long as students follow TISD acceptable use guidelines.
Student Dress Code
We will continue to enforce our dress code policies per the TISD Student handbook with an emphasis continuing on the following items:
- All students must wear clothing that adequately covers the body. Shorts and/or skirts must reach the mid-thigh. Spaghetti straps, strapless, backless, see-through and low-cut tops are not allowed. Tops must cover the midriff.
- All male students must be clean-shaven and may not display any piercings including the ear.
- Students are not allowed to wear hats, bandanas, or other head coverings.
- Student hair must be that of natural color. Students that need to address this particular portion can meet with their Assistant Principal to discuss a solution and timeline.
