Dear Twelve Bridges families,
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! I hope you all got spoiled and spent the day relaxing.
Thank you so much to Leah Bassett and our PTC for the thoughtful gifts and treats for Staff Appreciation Week. Even in these uncertain times you found a way to show some love to our staff!
Talent show submissions are due on May 15th! See below for the most recent updates from Mrs. Gale.
Starting today, Twelve Bridges Elementary will be holding a virtual book fair! The book fair has always been one of the best ways to support the TBE library. A portion of all purchases get credited back to the library! See below for more details.
TBE is working on a process for returning textbooks, library books, Chromebooks, and distributing students' personal belongings as well as yearbooks. Stay tuned for details.
Take care and stay safe,
Will Middleton

TBE Virtual Talent Show
We are excited to announce the first ever TBE Virtual Talent Show! Do you play an instrument, sing, dance, do magic or comedy, gymnastics, martial arts, want to create an act, or have any other special talent that you want to share? Or, maybe your family (this year ONLY) would love the chance to put together an entertaining act for the show?
This is your chance to make TBE History and be a performer in our first Virtual Talent Show. All acts will record a video which will then be part of the final virtual show premier on May 28!!! We will all gather in our own homes at the same time to watch together as the amazing talents of our TBE community are unveiled!
To submit an act for the show, please review these guidelines:
-no longer than 3 min.
-Options can include: instrument, sing, dance, do magic or comedy, gymnastics, martial arts, or create an act
-no lip-syncing
-recorded music used must have a positive theme appropriate for elementary age students. No words related to violence or romantic relationships
-If possible, please shoot the video horizontal for best quality and with an iPhone
***Please consider these video submissions like an audition. Realize that time constraints will only allow us to select a limited amount of videos.

Six Flags Read to Succeed
Many of you participated in the Six Flags Read to Succeed Program this year! If your student read and logged at least 6 hours of recreational reading using their online portal, they have earned a free ticket to Six Flags!
As you know, parks are currently closed and they do not know when they will be reopening. Due to the circumstances, they are not able to put valid dates on the tickets because they want to be sure that they can give everyone plenty of time to visit the park. Instead of issuing tickets as they have done in the past, students will receive a certificate with a special code. When parks re-open, you can use this code to access and download their ticket online. Student certificates should be available on May 11th in the Six Flags online portal. If you have any questions, please email Ms. Bremner at dbremner@wpusd.org.
