How Are Heart Attacks Caused?
Heart Attacks are caused when there is blockage in the coronary artery which is the artery that supplies blood to the heart muscle. This condition can be caused when you have a heart disease or are experiencing a loss of blood supply.
Signs and Symptoms of a Heart Attack.
When you have a hear attack you might experience...
-Chest Discomfort.
-Discomfort in the upper body such as pain in the arms, back, neck, jaw, or stomach.
-Shortness of breath.
-Cold sweat, nausea, or feeling light headed.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
CPR is an emergency lifesaving procedure that is done when someone's breathing heart has stopped.
CPR Procedure
1. Give 30 chest compressions.
Push hard and fast in the middle of the chest, 2 inches deep.
2. Give 2 rescue breaths
Tilt the head back and lift the chin up.
Pinch the nose shut, then make a complete seal over the persons mouth.
Blow in for about 1 second to make the chest clearly rise.
3.Do not stop
Continue CPR unless their are signs of life, an AED is ready to use, or if the scene becomes unsafe, or another trained responder or EMS personnel takes over.
