Career Day
Career Day 2016 is three weeks away! It will be on Friday November 18th this year.
We were hoping for school wide participation, but as of right now we do not have enough speakers for all three grades.
We need help recruiting volunteers for Career Day. If you or someone you know would want to volunteer to speak to our students, please send them this form to fill out: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeWd70RH126SxsaHsnphPgqttoyjuXo-zJvwqK1UjGiCZ985Q/viewform
All the information about Career Day can be found by following the above link. But here is a quick overview:
8:00 – 8:20 Presenters arrive, register and set up classrooms
8:25 – 8:40 Teachers distribute selections cards, take attendance, and wait to be dismissed
8:40 – 9:10 (30 min) Students attend Rotation 1 Presentation
9:15 – 9:45 (30 min) Students attend Rotation 2 Presentation
9:50 – 10:20 (30 min) Students attend Rotation 3 Presentation
10:25 – 10:55 (30 min) Students attend Rotation 4 Presentation

We are going to need 40-50 speakers to make Career Day work for us this year with all of our students. We have posted on the Roach FB page - feel free to share that on your own FB page as well.
Thank you for your help in making this a wonderful experience for our kids!

Parent Volunteer Opportunity-Lunchroom Monitors
Lunch is one of the busiest times of day. We can always use extra help in the lunchroom. Lunchroom monitors help out by watching the lunch lines, walking around the lunchroom and occasionally helping the students with throwing away trash. Please feel free to sign up as often as you would like. When you show up to be a lunchroom monitor, you will need to first complete a background check-insert link here-When you come to campus, check in to the front office before coming down to the cafeteria. There will always be a supervising staff member in the cafeteria. Let the supervising staff member know you are there to help monitor and ask what he/she would like you to do that day.
Before you can volunteer to be a lunchroom monitor, you will need to complete the FISD volunteer background check: https://forms.friscoisd.org/backgroundcheck/ . You will not be able to volunteer in the cafeteria without this background check completed.
