Sunday Message
3/29/2020
Dear Twelve Bridges families,
As I'm sure you know, schools will be closed through May 1, with a reopening day scheduled for May 4, 2020. Your teachers are working on additional materials and resources to support student learning during this extended time. There should be ongoing communication from your teacher to help facilitate the learning at home.
Mr. Leaman, the WPUSD Superintendent, has been sending out daily updates through emails and phone calls. If you are not receiving these messages, please send an email to communication@wpusd.org and they will help resolve that problem.
The teachers and staff greatly miss seeing our students. On Friday, April 3rd, at 11:00am, we are planning a TBE Staff parade (in cars) through the TBE neighborhoods to bring some cheer during this difficult time. We are looking forward to this event, but we want to stress the importance of keeping a safe social distance from each other. We have almost finalized our route and we will publicize that later this week. Stay tuned for more details!
Update: The TBE Staff Parade has been canceled. The city is not comfortable with so many people being out and don’t want to risk unnecessary exposure for our students and community. While we are disappointed we won’t be seeing our students, we want to do everything we can to keep our community safe.
I hope you are all healthy and well. I know this has been a difficult time for many of you and a major transition for just about everyone. We are here for you. If we (the teachers and I) can help in any way, please do not hesitate to ask. Please do not get too stressed about the school work. Let's take advantage of the extra time we have with our children and use this as an opportunity to appreciate the small things that we often overlook in our busy lives.
Take care and stay safe,
Will Middleton
