Wamogo Regional High School
June 15, 2018
Message from the Principal
Dear Wamogo Families and Friends,
As we approach the end of the school year, it is a great time to reflect on all of our successes. We have had many to celebrate throughout the course of the year. I have listed just a few highlights below:
- PSAT/SAT Success
- 81% of our 9th grade students met benchmark on PSAT for Evidenced Based Reading and Writing (compared to 63% state average and 62% national average)
- Solid growth in math for grades 9-11 from PSAT fall to PSAT/SAT spring
- 77% of our 11th grade students met benchmark on SAT for Evidenced Based Reading and Writing (compared to 61% state average and 52% national average)
Senior Data Statistics: College/Post Secondary Education 72%, Military 4%, Career 15%
- First place for the Wamogo FFA Veterinary Team in State Competition
- National Gold Medal in Scholastic Arts
- Superior rating for Wamogo Concert Band and Jazz Band at the High Notes Music Festival
- CIAC State Championship Runner-Ups in Boys Basketball
- CIAC State Semi-Finalists in Girls Softball
While I was not able to capture all the amazing things that have happened throughout the course of the year, it was nice to pause and reflect on the accomplishments of our students. I wanted to share in hopes that it would bring a smile to your faces as well. This would not have been possible without the support of our parents, community members and Wamogo staff.
Thanks for a wonderful first year at Wamogo!
Sincerely,
Sabin Loveland
Principal
