Principal's Message - Arrival and Dismissal Routines
Thank you for your continued support as we adjust to this hybrid schedule. I know this week there was some frustration with the arrival and dismissal procedures. I want to use my message this week to reiterate these changes.
First, I would like to address the bus changes. In an effort to provide transportation to both cohorts, we have condensed two routes into one. Now we have a North route (a combination of the red and green runs) and a South Route (a combination of the orange and blue runs). During the first week of classes, our busses stopped at all the stops on the routes. As drivers identified stops that are not being utilized, they have tightened the routes even more. This changed the original times. For your convenience the most updated routes have been linked below. Students must have a current application to ride the bus and all grades must wear a face covering on the bus as well. Please help us by making sure your child has their mask on before boarding.
I also want to say thank you to all the families who have been patiently waiting in line to drop off their student. We are working our hardest to get to your cars in a timely manner to greet your child. Please watch for us to wave you forward. As a reminder, we are doing a visual health check on all students before giving them the green light to go to class. Thank you for screening your child before they come. It has been very helpful.
In regards to pick up times, we are loading the busses before we accept cars into the Kindergarten area (red zone) and the 3rd/4th area (blue zone). We have been trying to get some of the first and second graders in the yellow zone loaded and exited as soon as possible so that we can get some of the cars off of Pine Street. Please do not park and walk to the zones to get your kids. Stay in your car and our team will bring you your child as soon as we can.
We appreciate your assistance during these times.
Respectfully,
Kim Little
