Examples of incorporating "Fish" into the film
- Shot panning past a shelf in a shop that has some fish products on display
- A construction of fishing paraphernalia the main character has made
- "I told you Mum, I want fish for my birthday dinner!"
Frequently Asked Questions
How long can the film be? : 5 mins. maximum (including credits). Absolutely non-negotiable.
What is the keyword? : "Fish". You must refer to, or use literally, somewhere in your film the word or object - "Fish". You may like to build the whole film around the idea of "Fish" or just refer to it in the dialogue, title, or somewhere in the film.
What if I film someone? : You must get permission in writing for anyone appearing in the film. You must acknowledge anyone who appears in the film in the credits at the end. (no more than 15-20 seconds).
What if I use music created by someone else? : Any music you use must be acknowledged in the credits. Do not plagiarise anyone else's footage.
I'm having trouble thinking of a storyline. Are there any suggestions? How about:
- Mr Cato's Fish creation - A short film about a crazy art teacher who was obsessed about creating a 3D object relating to fishing.
- The day of The Fish - The day Fish took over the world
- Dining - A drama about how many ways 'fish' can be cooked/presented
What is the closing date for submission? Friday 4th November
How do I submit my entry? You must submit the film by uploading to YouTube. Once you have submitted your film to YouTube you must email the link to either Mr Cato or Mrs Bale.
