What is VQ day?
VQ Day is the celebration of Vocational qualifications which are qualifications relating to a specific job roles or employment sectors. There are many different VQ's in a wade range of subjects including - Media, Art, Childcare, IT, Construction, mechanics and many more all from entry level right up to level 8. VQ day aims to make people aware of the qualifications available to them and award teachers and learners for outstanding contributions.

When and where is VQ day?
VQ day is held annually on the 10th of June and will be celebrated by many schools, college, university and employers across England, Scotland and Wales.

Who runs VQ day and why?
VQ day is led by The Edge Foundation an independent charity for education with the backing of many big players in Vocational education community. The edge foundation believes that vocal qualifications deserve the same admiration and recognition as academic qualifications receive as they create trained and talented employees.
How do I get involved?
There are many ways for you to get involved in VQ Day 2015. A good start is to download the Action Pack which has plenty of ideas for events and activities as well as lots of helpful advice and guidance on celebrating.
Have a go
To celebrate VQ Day on 10th June, schools, colleges and learning providers are being urged to hold a 'Have a Go' event to introduce young people to careers they might not have previously considered.
