Second Grade Happenings
Good Afternoon!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We have another week full of learning and fun together ahead of us. Although I was not able to make the Ghost and Goblins Run last Saturday, I saw many pictures of all the Smoky Row Rockets who were able to attend. It looked like another great turnout from our Rockets, and it looked like there were many Trolls in attendance!
On Wednesday we have our filed trip to the Carmel High School Planetarium. This is always a great experience, and Mr. Turner is always full of information about space.
Also on Wednesday, your child will be bringing home their Family Turkey Project. This is always a fun project for our 2nd Grade students! Each child will decorate a turkey at home. Have some fun with these! Use items you have at home, such as macaroni, popcorn kernels, feathers, glitter, candy, markers, crayons, really anything you can think of to decorate the turkey in a special way! We will use these turkeys for a persuasive writing project in class, and to decorate our hall. With us having Grandparents Day this year, students will be able to share their masterpieces and their writing with their Special Person! Thank you so much for your help and support with this fun project.
I hope everyone has a fun Halloween, and a fantastic week.
