22 Happy Faces

Happy Saturday! C22Heroes went to Kidspace on Tuesday and had a blast learning through hands-on activities. You can visit our class Shutterfly site for pictures taken by Marisa and me!

Did your child tell you about the tasting center on Thursday? We sampled food that are sweet, sour, bitter, salty, and spicy. Their expressions and reactions were priceless. Most importantly, they were able to better relate to the mini book they have been reading about tastes.

As the year is coming to a wrap, I humbly thank you for your support and love. My sincere gratitude to you who have been taking your precious time to take your child to school, to slip a love note in your child's lunch sack, to ask you child about his or her day, to review their homework, to teach your child the appropriate manner when he or she has a little argument with a buddy, to check the Haiku page for updates, to read my emails, to volunteer in the classroom, to make materials, to chaperone a field trip, to follow the class FB or instagram, to visit Shutterfly site for pictures, and to share stories about your child with me. Most importantly, I thank you for your unconditional love and support to our classroom. Your contributions have made my dream into a reality. :)

Are you ready for the last week of school before Winter Break? C22Heroes and their teacher are definitely to welcome the fun activities with open arms! Take a look below for the details.

1) Better Chinese Online Account

1) Better Chinese Online Account

Please CONTINUE to have your child work on Better Chinese reading as part of their daily homework. This is a very valuable resource the school has purchased to help parents in supporting Mandarin learning at home. Once you log-in, you will see the assignment under "Assignment Messages". If you only have access to an iPad, you may download a free application called Puffin Web Browser and it shall allow you to access the BC account.

2) Khan Academy

Please take advantage of Khan Academy as it is a great resource for your child to practice math skills taught in class or challenge with more math concepts. If your child answer more questions correctly, the website will adapt and give harder problems. It will also make the problems easier if the child is struggling with answering them. After enrolling your child to my "class", I will also be able to see his/her progress. If you need specific recommendations or have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

In the "add a coach" field, please enter class code 78TY9E

3) Class Facebook and Instagram

Please follow our class on social media to get a glimpse of C22Heroes in actions! It's also another way to connect with one another. You may also share it with friends and family members. :)
