Big picture

Welcome Back, Rockets!!

We are excited at the prospect of welcoming back our students. School will resume soon for students who have completed the online registration form. Our return date will be Tuesday, April 27th for 6th graders and Wednesday, April 28th for 7th and 8th graders. In-Person Hybrid Instruction will take place in the afternoon only for approximately 90 minutes. The morning (8:30-12:20) will remain distanced learning over Zoom for all students.

A finalized schedule will be sent out along with the Edendale Site Reopening Plan to all families opting for In-Person Hybrid Instruction. Please be sure to check your email frequently over the next several days and weeks.

Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us at the emails listed in the section above.

Elective Choices for 2021-2022

Current 6th and 7th grade students will have visits with our school counselors Mrs. Taylor and Mrs. McMahon to learn more about the elective offerings at Edendale next year. The presentations will take place on Wednesday, April 21st at the end of their advisory class. We will offer the following classes next year:

* Orchestra * Band * English Language Development (ELD)

* Intro to Music * Drama * Leadership

* Guitar * Advanced Drama

Students who are designated as English Learners will continue to take ELD courses. Drama is a prerequisite for Advanced Drama and students who select Leadership will need to complete an application.

There will be a Google Form Elective Choices students will complete. On it, they should select their first, second and third choice for courses. Please be sure to discuss the elective choices with your students before they submit the form. Forms will be due Friday, April 23rd.
