Ernesto 'Che' Guevara

The Hero or Villian of Cuba?

Who was he?

Ernesto ‘Che’ Guevara de la Serna, but was commonly known as el Che or Che, and was born on June 14, 1928 and died on Ocotber 9, 1967, aged 39. Guevara was born in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina and lived a majority of his life in his birth place, Rosario. In his lifetime, he worked as an Argentine Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, guerilla leader, diplomat, and military theorist.

Was he a hero or villian?

Guevara is seen differently by different people. Some see him as a villian, whereas others see him as a hero, however, I see him as a VILLIAN. Guevara murdered so many innocent people during his lifetime, not only when he was told to during the his time as a military officer, but when he whenever he felt like it.

An instance of this is when several men who survived Che Guevara's prison recalled a night when a 14-year-old boy was shoved into their holding cell as he had tried to defend his father from the firing squad, but was unsuccessful. Moments later, guards dragged the boy out of the cell, and Che Guevara himself ordered the boy to kneel down in front of him. The jailed men screamed out to him to stop as Guevara took out his pistol, put the barrel to the back of the boy's neck and fired.

Ernesto 'Che' Guevara was and always will be a villain.
