Happy 2023!
Mustang Families,
I hope this finds you all well as we have started the 2023 year! We had quite the start of the year with record snowfall and a snow day. It has provided a lot of fun for our students during recess and has kept our custodians quite busy! We are so appreciative of our custodial and facility staff for spending hours everyday this week clearing snow on our sidewalks, exits and parking areas.
I am so thankful that we have had a warm start to 2023 and am hoping we get many days outside for recess! A reminder that we go outside everyday if the temperature is above 0 degrees and the windchill is above -10.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend!
Take care,
Mrs. Downs
Culver's Community Night
Head to Culver's for Middleton Community Night. Dr. Todd (Music Specialist) and M&M (Art Specialist) will be hosting.
Students Leaving Early
If your student needs to leave early for the day, we ask that you do your best to avoid the 2:45 p.m. - 3:10 p.m. timeframe. If possible, please plan to pick up your students for early dismissal before 2:45 p.m..
The end of a school day is a very busy time of day for us, as we have several grade levels in transition or at specialists classes during this time. Starting at 2:45 we begin safely preparing to dismiss over 600 students. With one staff member in the main office at that timeframe, we thank you for your patience and understanding that this is a very busy time at Middleton.
Last Minute Transportation Dismissal Changes
If your family has a last-minute transportation change on a given day, please let us know of these changes prior to the end of the school day by calling the main office. (Prior to 2:30 p.m. is best to ensure we get changes communicated.) It is not always possible to easily locate a student as everyone is getting winter clothing on, transitioning, and going to lockers at the end of the day. Thank you for helping us with this!
