Congrats Renee Ross!

Music teacher, Renee Ross, was named our staff member of the week. She was caught getting a GRIP by showing Purpose this week. Renee always goes above and beyond when putting together and directing our programs. HRE students love her and she makes our entire building look good with the product she produces. Way to go Renee!

Don't forget to nominate a colleague who you catch "Getting a GRIP"! Nomination slips are here in the office.

Fall Book Fair!

Our Fall Book Fair is this week!. Tuesday (11/17) and Wednesday (11/18) will be Donuts with Dad, so please remember we will have extra traffic inside and outside of the building on those mornings. Also, Thursday (11/19) will be Family Reading Night where HRE families can visit the book fair and spend some time reading with their children if they like. Food vendors will also be on site that evening. Thanks for always supporting the PTO and Lauren during our book fair!

Giving Tuesday is coming on 12/01/15!

The Hamilton Southeastern Schools Foundation is asking everyone to take part in a day of celebration and giving on December 1st. They want to celebrate all of the difference makers in our wonderful district. Information has already been running in the Rocket Fuel and we will be sending home an information letter with each student on November 30th. The Foundation is hoping our parents, students, faculty and community members will be even more inspired to give when they find out every $1 donated will be turned into $2 for our schools! If you have any questions please be sure to let me know.

Key Fob/Badge Replacement Procedures

This is the procedure for acquiring a replacement badge or key fob. Replacement badges/Fobs will cost $5.00. If no damage is done to the fobs but they have just stopped working please bring it to Jen Eichenauer and she will get you a new fob free of charge. If damage is seen then there will be a charge of $5.00.

Hoosier Road Elementary employees who need replacement IDs will have them made by appointment at Hamilton Southeastern High School. Appointments may be made by calling the Media Center at 594-4190, ext. 11805, or e-mailing Karin Foster at Be sure to call the school to arrange an appointment before showing up.

Replacement IDs require administrative approval. You may have proper documentation that someone from the Administration Office sent you for a badge or an e-mail or call from a building principal. A principal may also write pertinent information on the back of his/her business card with a signature and the current date. In addition to showing Administrative approval, a current driver’s license of the person being photographed must be presented. If you have any questions please let me know.

United Way Campaign

The United Way Campaign will begin this week on Tuesday, November 10th and run through next Tuesday, November 17th. Any donation amount to the campaign will allow you to wear jeans at any point through the entire month of December! Our point person for HRE is Cathy Grayson. Cathy sent out an email to staff this past week with the detailed information. If you have any questions regarding details of the campaign please see Cathy.
