Much Ado About Nothing
By Taylor Thompson
Ariana Grande as Beatrice
I chose Ariana Grande to play Beatrice because they are both gorgeous and very well aware of their beauty. Beatrice was described as knowingly beautiful and hateful of love, but at the end of the story surrenders to love. Ariana Grande was the same way until she met Big Sean and fell in love.
Selena Gomez as Hero
I chose Selena to play Hero because they are both astonishingly beautiful. Hero was also a very soft spoken and kind person. Selena Gomez also shares these traits. I think Selena could easily portray the role of "Hero".
Douglas Booth as Claudio
I chose Douglas Booth because they both are handsome and persistent when they find something they want. Douglas has been known to swoop in and get women that he wants with his charm. Claudio was also the same way in "Much Ado About Nothing". He knew when he saw Hero that he wanted her. And in the end her got what he wanted.
Claudio Meets Hero
This is the first major moment in the play because one of the core lessons in "Much Ado About Nothing" is love. Claudio meets Hero and instantly falls in love. Claudio falling in love so easily shows that he is very subject-able, and some could argue, reckless, Hero also shares these traits because she too falls in love. They both were "Love struck" throughout the play.
The Wedding
The wedding is the next Major event that is by far the most tragic. Claudio has been fooled into believing that Hero has been unfaithful and instead of breaking things off. He humiliates her in front of everyone. I think that again shows a dark and reckless side to Claudio. The fact that he felt like he had to seek vengeance instead of moving on exposed his dark true colors. And poor Hero was absolutely broken by his blindside.
The Wedding Part 2
In the end of the story Claudio does end up getting married to Hero. However, he did not know it was Hero because she was believed to have died from grief. He was told that he was marrying Leonatos niece. Hero reveals her identity and Claudio was overjoyed that she had not actually died. They marry for real this time and live happily ever after. Love always finds a way.

Elvis Presley - Can't Help Falling In Love (Audio)
Love Songs
The songs that I chose are "Fools" by Troye Sivan and "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Elvis Presley. Both of these songs refer to love which is a common theme, but both songs are about unexpected love. Love that makes you go mad. I think that both of these songs can tie in with both of the love story's in "Much Ado About Nothing". But particularly with Benedick and Beatrice's love story.
