why the U.S took part in this war
During WORLD WAR 1 the Germans annouced unlimited submarine warfare. Also during that time America was trading with Great Britain. As soon as they anaunced this the british ship the Lusitania that was loaded with more than 200 amican passengers was shot down by U BOATS. This put president Woodrow Wilson in lots of stress over joining the war. After all over 100 innocent Americans died at Germanys fault. So we joined the war in 1916.

What hapend to us during the war
During the war we did trench warfare, air warfare, and sea warfare. The most deadly was trench warfare. This was because the trenches contained lice, infection, and diseases. This was because people relieved themselves, died and vomited. This was extremely unhealthy.
