Maps are things that can tell us where we are or where to go they can tell us where tourest attractions are and even weather. Maps are very useful to us most of us use them in our everyday life and dont even notice it.

BOLTSS:

B=border- a box around the map show its extent.

O= orientation- a compass direction.

L= ledend- a key to what the symbols and colours on the map stand for.

T= title- a clear indication of what the map is about or its theme.

S= scale- indicates distances on the map compared with the actual area being shown.

S= source- where possible, the information used to make the map should be sourced.

There are many types of different maps such as choropleth maps and topography maps.
