I decided I wanted to be a teacher during my very first day of first grade. I have always loved school and being in the classroom. When I came to college I tried a semester in the business school and hated it with a passion. When I picked up my education classes, I fell in love and remembered why I wanted to be a teacher. I love to be creative and I like implementing different activities into lesson plans. I want to be a teacher to show students that school can be fun and hopefully ignite a lifelong passion of learning in them.
Born and raised in New Jersey - I am and always will be a city girl. I'm not sure exactly how I ended up down here. I found this school online, applied, visited, fell in love, and i haven't looked back! I have one sibling - a younger brother who is 19 yrs old. My grandparents live next door to my parents so I have always grown up with them as my "second parents". They are probably my favorite people in this world - I love them more than anything. They are a very important part of my life and have been a huge influence on me. I am an elementary and middle grades (English and Social Studies) major.
I'm still not used to Southern culture. I love the South and feel at home here, but I still feel like I am in culture shock most of the time. Oh and I am obsessed with maps. I love studying them.
