REMINDERS AND UPDATES
Schedule change for 4th Grade
Beginning on Monday, 4th grade will have Specials at 8:00 a.m. so they can practice for the Nutcracker. This could impact Dyslexia, Resource, ICS and Speech schedules.
If you have students who are impacted, the revised schedules will be sent to you.
Your patience and understanding is much, much appreciated.
Technology Staff on Campus, November 9, 10, 11
Staff members from the technology department will be here next week working on our equipment. They will be set up in room D106 (second grade area) and will use that room to house their materials as they are working.
Please keep the students out of that classroom on the days these technology staff department members are working.
Active Monitoring
Staff members should not be sitting nor standing together talking, but should be on constant alert watching the students.
One of the construction managers shared a picture with me that was taken by one of his people and it shows several staff members all sitting together while students were playing. It was too far away to tell exactly who the staff members were, but there were several people sitting together.
Non-Contract Hours Requirement
As a reminder, there is a district requirement that all professional staff have 12 hours of off-contract staff development, annually.
In addition, in order to be off on the Flex Day in February (February 20th), you must have an additional 6 hours, for a total of 18 hours of off contract staff development.
For the Flex Day requirement, we are working on providing a course here at MWE on itsLearning, presented by Erika Wheeler and Ami Rapp. More details to follow.
T-TESS Evidence
T-TESS is a very, very different instrument from PDAS, and the walkthrough document only has "observed" or "not observed" indicators. Although I am willing to provide you with credit for items observed when we have our first walkthrough conferences, it will be your responsibility to collect your T-TESS evidence and have it with you for your next walkthrough conference(s), formal observation conference and summative in May.
I have spoken to HR and have been told that the best way for you to do this is to upload your documentation in Eduphoria. The only restriction is that the files should not be too big.
When you upload your documents, you MUST label them by writing "D" or "Domain" and then putting the number and name. This will help us when we are going through your documentation.
Ex:
D 4.4 School Community Involvement
(A note/letter from a parent, an example of your communication log, etc. can be attached as evidence.)
D 3.2 Managing Student Behavior
(You can attach a copy of your rules, signals for students, etc.)
D 2.4 Differentiation
(A statement of what you are doing, a page from your plans, pictures, etc.)
I have asked HR to look at uploading our Instructional Rounds form in Eduphoria. (keep your fingers crossed)
Team leaders - please be sure your team members know how to upload documentation in Eduphoria.
